Prayer request for all over the world will be answer with United in Prayers
Prayer request for Week June 15, 2008 PDF Print E-mail
Thank you to all who have prayed for father's that they may understand the importance of their role not just as providers but as playmates, guides, problem solvers and examples to their children.
We ask that on this Father's day that all members pray not just for Fathers but for all men who will one day be fathers. That though our prayers God will give them an understanding of the vital importance they play in their children's lives. Being there for a child is more than just physical presence, but helping to meet their child's social, emotional and spiritual needs. Father's have not just a responsibility but an opportunity to teach their children through example how to pray, how to play and how to be part of a family.

As a playmate to his child, a father can also use play to informally start a serious conversation with their child. In fact, it's important that fathers use this time to talk with their child and to build their emotional bond with them. It is a great occasion to start teaching them about prayer and Jesus Christ.

Fathers often see themselves as someone involved in preparing their children for life's challenges, as well as protecting them when necessary. They should talk with their child about family values and morals. It is from the guidance and example of the father that a child will eventually decide if they too should attend church services regularly, pray at home, or in general what type of Christian they will be.

God bless all father's today, for their role is critical.
