Thank to all who have prayed for the continuation of construction on a Christian church on Sri Lanka.
The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, determined that construction may continue on a new Christian church located just north of Colombo. They ordered that police in the area to arrest anyone who interferes with or disturbs religious services or Sunday school activities.
This is great news and a step forward in a country that has seen tension rising between Christian missionaries and the native Buddhists. We must however continue our prayers that the people will follow the precedent set by the court and live peaceably together. Even as late as July 27 reports where filing in that attacks on Christian churches were starting to build their momentum again. Our prayers can help ease this conflict and our belief and trust in Jesus will help to continue the progress already being seen.
