Prayer request for all over the world will be answer with United in Prayers
Prayer request for August 3, 2008 PDF Print E-mail
Thank you to all who have prayed for the health and safety of the jailed Christian, Arash Bandaru in Iran.
Bandari was arrested in Iran 2 months ago on suspicion of “apostasy” or converting from Muslim to Christianity. He has been kept in solitary confinement and has been refused medical treatment for his diabetic condition. Due to the lack of treatment Bandari's health has been deteriorating rapidly and according to reports he is severely ill and not doing well.
Iran has, in the last two weeks, stepped up its efforts to enforce their “apostasy” laws and crackdown and anyone and any church that is linked to Christianity. They have also drafted a bill that would make converting to any religion a mandatory death sentence.
This bill would complicate the situation for Bandari, who has yet to be charged with any official crime. Christians in Iran are fasting and praying that any false accusations will be lifted and for the protection of the men jailed.
