Prayer request for all over the world will be answer with United in Prayers
Prayer request for August 10, 2008 PDF Print E-mail
Thank you to all who have prayed with the Bhutan missionary who asked to deny Jesus and refused.
Amil Romir, a Gospel for Asia, missionary was asked by the local government leader to sign a statement that said he would never preach about Jesus Christ or show and literature about the life of Jesus Christ again. Romir refused and has been threatened with imprisonment.
His church has faced difficulty in the past, and in June the worship services was interrupted by officials delivering a warrant for all of the Christians to appear in court and answer questions. Finally asking them all to sign a statement denying Jesus Christ.
All of the Christians refused and have been given the odd sentence of cleaning the government property every 15days.
According to reports, Ramir is grateful for this sentence and feels that it offers him and his fellow Christians to opportunity to be examples of Jesus Christ's love and humility. He also asks for prayers for him and his congregation that they will have the strength to stand firm in the Christian faith.
