The idea came, after receiving a weather alert text message. At the same moment that message was received, the idea of a service that could text a prayer globally, literally touching hundreds of thousands of people at the same time and allowing them a few moments of simultaneous “community prayer”, was conceived.
We are extremely honored to be able to share in a few moments of prayer with each of you and look forward to having the largest global community sharing in group prayer. United in Prayers was initiated by Catherine Horan. She lost her husband 7 years ago in a tragic circumstance. Here is her story in her own words: Seven years ago my husband was shoved to the ground, bound and gagged, kidnapped in his own car, and he was killed by shooting. He was an honest and God fearing man, he was gentle and caring. He was active in church functions. He participated in ministries such as caring for the sick and the elderly. He volunteered to provide transportation for those who needed it to attend church. There are not enough words to describe the goodness in my husband, a true gift from God. After the horrific event of his death, I decided I would try to make a
difference in this world like he was trying to do. I searched a long time, praying for God to help me to find a way to give a meaning to his death. God's given technology and faith have come together to create the means for the necessary changes. I am inviting you to be a part of it. God has a plan for each of us and it became clear that mine is to unify all the Christians together in prayer to change the world. It's now in your power to join United in Prayers and to make it the largest Christian movement in the world. Just imagine what will happen if hundreds of thousands of Christian start to pray at the same time about the same event. Together, by prayer, we can call God's power on earth. Together we can influence the stream of events to make our world like God wanted it to be.
