Prayer request for June 22, 2008
Thank you to all who have prayed and continue to pray for all of the people effected by the massive flooding in the midwest.
Since June 6, 24 people have dies and 148 people have been injured as a result of the flooding currently effecting 6 states. Natural disaster's across the globe have been the subject of our prayers for months now, and as the summer approaches we find that now we are being given a sample of what these lesser developed nations have been facing.

Prayer request for June 8, 2008
Thank you to all who prayed for the continued relief effort in Burma, that the Burmese government will reconsider and allow the foreign ships to dock and provide the aid that they are carrying.

After 15 failed attempts to convince the regime to let them in, the U.S. navy said it would withdraw the four ships, carrying helicopters and landing craft.

Prayer request for Week May 18, 2008

Thank you to all who have prayed and continued to pray for the victims of the Earthquake in China.

Calling it the deadliest disaster in Chinese recent history, the 7.9 earthquake killed thousands, left tens of thousands homeless and many with no way of getting food and water. As we are well aware China has many problems surrounding it's civil liberty's policy as well as it's complete abandonment of any form of Christianity.

Prayer request for Week May 11, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed with us on this Mother's Day for all mother's around the world.

Here is a little prayer to offer to all mother's today to thank them, for they have a huge responsibility in the up bringing of their children.

Prayer request for Week May 4, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed for the victims of the Myanmar cyclone.

As if Myanmar is not burdened with enough problems, now literally thousands are dead, and food, water and shelter are scarce. In a country that is strictly controlled by a military regime and keeps it's borders tightly closed from the rest of the world, it is imperative that we pray for the people suffering and that the government will allow foreign aid to it's repressed citizens.

Prayer request for Week of April 27, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed for suffering and victimized children around the world.

In a disgusting and deeply disturbing news report, the clandestine activities of an Austrian father were revealed. This story brings to our attention the victimization of children around the world as well as here in the USA.

Prayer request for Week of April 20, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed for religious freedom in Russia after a Methodist Church was forced to close by the government.

Last week a Methodist Church in Russia was forced to close by government authorities for “educational activity in a Sunday school”. This is not the first action taken by the Russian government in a crackdown on non orthodox Christian religions.

Prayer request for Week of April 13, 2008

This past week, as the Olympic flame passed through the USA it really brought to our attention the severe human rights violations that China refuses to improve. Jesus has provided us a great guide to live by and has taught us how we must treat and respect each other.

Prayer request for Week of April 6, 2008

Thank you to all who have joined us in praying for the Lord's intervention in the dengue fever outbreak in Brazil.

Brazil is currently experiencing a medical crisis, 55,000 people have become infected with a mosquito borne illness that results in death if not properly treated.

Prayer request for Week of March 31, 2008

Thank you to all who have joined in praying for the cessation of human-animal hybrid embryonic research.

In what seems like a page from a horror novel, scientists have started experimenting with human-animal hybrid embryos proclaiming this research will save human lives. Now Scotland's prime minister, Gordon Brown has proposed a bill that will allow this type of research to be conducted legally and funded by the government.

Prayer request for Week of March 23, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed with us for the continued message of the resurrection to be spread and that all Christians who have lost their way will find a rebirth of their faith.

We remind ourselves today that Jesus has risen! This Easter message must give us hope throughout the year, courage and strength to face our adversaries just as Jesus faced his and a humbleness knowing that He made the ultimate sacrifice of his life for our eternal salvation. Let us show our gratitude to him by living the life He intended for us and by spreading his message of unconditional love.

Prayer request for Week of March 16, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed for the 7 people who died after a 20 story crane collapsed in NYC, and for all of the people who have jobs in the saftey and hazard sectors, to be honest, forthright, and diligent in their work.

Edward Marquette, 46, was arraigned and released without bail Thursday on charges of falsifying business records and offering a false instrument for filing.

Next prayer request: August 17, 2008

Group prayer healed my back and neck pain

I had been suffering for many months with pain due to my car and fall accidents. I am unable to take pain pills as I am allergic to them and I am going to physiotherapy to try and be cured which is taking forever.

There are still parts of my body which have to be healed but I am going to leave it in God's hands and I know deep in my heart that He will come through for me.

I finally asked the members of my church to join in group prayer for me. Usually when I get up in the morning I would have to walk with a cane for about an hour and roll out of bed as my back and neck were so bad, but thanks to my group prayer team, I didn't use my cane or roll out of bed today because God healed me last night. Praise the Lord, and I had the most restful sleep I've had in a long time.

You see, I do believe in miracles as many years ago, I got very sick with a disease and was paralyzed from the waist down and was unable to walk and be with my kids. Doctors had to come to my bedside as I refused to be put in the hospital and stayed at home with them. Somebody once told me that jesus promised "whenever 2 or more of you are gathered in my name, I'll be there". So asked a few friends to participate with me in group prayer.

I thought it couldn't hurt so we tried it and praise the Lord, He came while I rested and a miracle happened. When I woke up, a hand touched me and when I turned around there was nobody there but I knew it was God. He then told me to roll over and pull myself up slowly, take a pillow with me to sit on the chair in the living room, put my feet on the floor, stand up and walk out to see my family and I did it and to this day I have been walking in Christ's path ever since.

I hope everybody will find the light at the end of the tunnel as I've had and believe in the power that God has for us. God bless you and your family on your journey and I am so glad to have such great believers as friends and fellows in Christ Jesus..

Thank you once again.

THE MIRACLE HEALING TESTIMONY

Giving all the Praise, Honor and Glory unto the Lord through whom this testimony is made possible this eleventh day of November 2000.
Edited this 20 th day of December to include the following quote from my Doctor, Dr. Dino Delaportas, MD

"I rejoice in awe of you and the miracles the Lord has performed."

My physician, as evidenced in the enclosed document, has confirmed the miracles I received from the Lord during a Faith and Victory Service at the World Harvest Church with Pastor Rod Parsley delivering the Word on November 5 th , 2000.

On Monday the 13 th of May 1985 I was involved in a motorcycle v. train accident which resulted in a Closed Head Injury (massive traumatic brain injury), Ruptured Optic Nerve (right eye), and Spinal Injuries. These injuries left me a quadriplegic (no use of my lower extremities and only partial use of my right hand with no feeling on my entire right side) cognitive deficits and short-term memory loss. As you can imagine these injuries were tremendously life changing. However, being a Born Again Christian, as well as having been an Emergency Medical Technician for several years before my accident, I was better situated in overcoming my injuries and moving forward with my life.

Although I was confined to a wheelchair I was able to continue through Him in my education at Salisbury State University, Hagerstown Junior College, and Prince George's Community College where I was a student in General Studies and Para-Legal Studies.

During the time between 1994 - June 2000, I went through a lot of turmoil in both my personal and professional life and was separated in faith through choice and ignorance - I thought I knew better without the Lord - was I ever wrong. This was perhaps the most destructive time in my life. I attempted suicide twice, lost the love of my life (so I thought), lost a business, and lots of friends.

Finally in July 2000, due to circumstances beyond my control, I was stuck at my Sister-in-Christ's house with a broken down van. During this time I was lead back to the Lord and magnificent things started happening. I became so full of the Spirit that I lost control and have completely surrendered unto Him. I became active in the Church (The Tabernacle Church of Laurel, MD) and have been working on computers at the church since.
About three weeks before the November 5 th service at the World Harvest Church the Lord moved in me that I needed to be in Columbus, Ohio on November 5 th . I didn't know why. I didn't know anyone in Columbus nor had I ever heard of Pastor Rod Parsley or the World Harvest Church. Then about two weeks later I saw in infomercial about a Dept Burning Service at the World Harvest Church and the fact that the church was located in Columbus, Ohio. The Lord immediately came over me and led me to call the church right then to get the information, which ultimately lead to my being there on November 5 th .

On the evening of Thursday, November 2 nd I went to service at church in Laurel, MD and gave testimony that the Lord had placed it on my heart that I was to go to the World Harvest Church in Columbus, Ohio and that I was to receive a healing - just what healing I didn't know as I had several ailments. The Pastor then prayed over me for a healing that manifested the next morning with the feeling being restored to my right hand. Later that Thursday evening the Pastor took an offering in order that my gas be covered to get me to Columbus - otherwise, without this blessing from God, I would not have been able to receive the awesome blessing that the Lord has provided.

Upon arrival at the church I called into the church from the parking lot, on my cell phone to see if there was some type accommodation that I may freshen up after my more than 400 mile drive. During this conversation I was informed that I had called in on the Prayer Line and the offer was extended for prayer. She asked if it would be ok to include 3 more people on line for this prayer as they believe that group prayer can offer a stronger voice. ( were ever 3 or more are gathered in my name...) I accepted the offer and during this prayer a burning sensation came over my feet and I knew that the Lord was once again at work in my body and at that point I declared through Him that I would be healed and that I would accept His blessing that would enable me to walk. I revealed this to the prayer partners and asked that they keep an eye out for this miracle and then come shake my hand afterward so that I may meet them and thank them for agreeing in this healing.

During the service on November 5 th the Pastor called all those with diabetes to come forward - and while I was up there the Pastor named several other afflictions and during this time I could feel the Lord working on my body and when I went to adjust myself in my wheelchair one of your ushers asked if I was trying to get out of my chair - and before I had a chance to respond the Spirit took control and spoke through me and said "I'm going to jump out of this chair in thirty seconds" - well guess what? - in thirty seconds I was standing for the first time in 15 ½ years. The ushers then asked if I could walk - I didn't know - after all this was the first I had stood in 15 ½ years - I took a few steps forward and back and they asked if I could walk up the steps and I replied "lets ask the Lord" - and with that the Lord walked me up the steps onto platform (stage) on which the pulpit stands.

Before I entered the church that evening I tested my blood sugar and it as 470 without insulin for the prior three days. After I returned to my seat in the witness of the ushers and God Himself I tested my Blood sugar again - it as 128: Praise God and the power of group paryer!!!

And the healing hasn't stopped. After returning to Laurel I called the Pastor to inform him of the awesome miracles and ask that I be allowed to go into the sanctuary at the Tabernacle Church to give Praise and Worship unto Him for what He had provided in me and for the many others to see the miracles that they may also be blessed and renewed in Faith and in the awesome power of goup prayer.

Prior to going into the sanctuary that morning, I met with some people for a group prayer led my Pastor to pray over my eye and by the power of God flowing through him the patch came off. Praise God!!! The optic nerve damage in that eye was healed and I have limited vision out of my right eye. I still need prayer to clear up a cataract which has formed in that eye over the years but I put all my Faith and Trust in Him that this condition will also come to pass.

On Sunday, November 10 th , God anointed a service at The Tabernacle Church (a packed house I may add) through which the miracles were unveiled in a dramatic way giving Praise, Honor, and All the Glory unto Him through Jesus Christ. His blessing which was bestowed unto me was then released and poured out over the congregation at the Church as He restored and renewed His Faith in His followers - it was absolutely awesome to be witness to His Awesome Power!!!

In a recent conversation with the Lord, He revealed to me that He has performed a supernatural healing in restoring me in which man is unable and that know I am to seek man to restore that which he is able and may we all be blessed in the gifts He has provided in all.

In the meantime be blessed and relax in the Spirit of the Lord and I am looking forward to God blessing the masses through the blessing that He has bestowed upon me as I follow His directive to go forth and spread the Word and demonstrate the awesome power of the Lord as He has provided in me.

A Group Prayer session Delivered me from Cocaine Addiction

Hello, I live in Hendersonville, TN. I am a forty year old Christian man, but I wasn't always. I was baptized at the age of twelve. I had no idea what that meant. At the age of fifteen I began to try alcohol. Within a short while I was smoking pot. I was still attending church as a teenager, but that's all I was doing. By the age of twenty I was doing cocaine on a regular basis, all the while ignoring the tug at my heart. This would continue until the age of thirty-four.

I was married in June of 1991, and in June of 1993, my wife was gone, killed in a car crash on her way home from work. There I was, something I didn't want to be. At the age of thirty-two, I was a widowed father. I didn't know where to turn. After I truly came to know my Savior, at times I would wonder, if only I could have met Him sooner, not realizing that I had.(at the age of twelve) I finally came to see, that I can't change what happened yesterday, but I can do all I can to better tomorrow.

In April of 1994, I was arrested with one-half ounce of cocaine. February 1995 I was put in jail for what I had done.(for one year). For the first month I was there I blamed everyone except myself, until one day a man came to see me. He told me about a man, two thousand years ago, who gave His life, that I might have life. He also told me about an initiative at his church that used group prayer to pray for people in need. After he left, I opened the bible my mom sent to me. I was not looking for anything, I was just opening a book. When I opened it, it was at Psalm 51, I began to read, and before you know it, I was crying, and on my knees, not aware of my surroundings. I received something that day, SALVATION, and with that salvation came deliverance. I did not know it at that time, but later learned that this group prayer session, the man had told me about, was gathered and praying for ME at this exact time!

I was a five hundred dollar a day cocaine user, I was an alcoholic, I was dirty, I was a thief, I was partners with the devil, and God set me free. I am so thankful to God and the amazing people who gathered in group prayer because I am not any of those things anymore, I am not a recovering drug addict, I am not a recovering alcoholic, or anything else, I AM FREE. On April 5th, 1995, in a jail cell, the man that came to see me that day in March, baptized me, and I fully understood what I was doing, I was becoming a follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Son Healed Of Cysts with help of Group prayer

August 27, 2000

I wanted to share with you a miracle that took place in my life. When I was 5 months pregnant, my son was diagnosed with two cyst, one on each side of the brain. They tested him for Down Syndrome and I thank God that all of his test came back normal. After he was born when he was about 5 months old I took him for a checkup and his doctor wanted to do an ultrasound to see if the cyst were gone. The cyst was still there and she seemed real concerned about this. She said he had several cysts called Colloid plexus cyst. She called a neurosurgeon to look at the ultrasound and he recommended having an MRI done. The MRI was scheduled on June 18, 1999. I prayed over my son and ask my church for a group prayer session everyday the week before the MRI was to be done. On the day of the MRI, my son had to be put to sleep but right before we went in, he had already fallen asleep in my arms. I asked the nurse had they already given him something to make him go to sleep since that had already put an IV in his hand.

She said no they had not given him anything, but it was good that he had already fallen asleep because they wouldn't have to give him as much of the sedative as they would have. As the sedative is very dangerous for a baby, I was relieved for this news.

After the MRI had been scanning for about 20 minutes, one of the doctors that had given him the sedative came in the room because my son Devin had started waking up before the MRI was done. He told me that he did not see anything on the scan. He and the radiologist were in a room viewing the pictures from the MRI. When he told me he couldn't find any cyst, I felt an overwhelming burst of joy in my heart. God had answered my prayer. I met with a specialist to go over the MRI and he told me that he could not find the cyst that they had seen earlier on the Ultrasound. He said my baby was perfectly normal. I told him that was what I had been praying for and that my group prayer sessions had worked, and he said, "Well, yes, it seems your prayers were answered."

I thank God for healing my son Devin who will be 2 years old on January 12 and I thank all that particpated in the group prayer.. I praise God for being faithful and keeping his promise according to Mathew 18:19, "If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask for, my Father in heaven will do it for you. " Mathew 18:20 "For where two or three gather together because they are mine, I will be right there among them."

I want to encourage anyone who needs healing to trust in God. He has been faithful to me all my life. Whenever I have needed healing for my family he has kept his promise.

Heart patients perform 50 to 100% better under group prayer

The first major study that looked at prayer and its healing effects was published in 1988 in the Southern Medical Journal. Dr. Randy Bird, a cardiologist at the University of California, followed the progress of 393 patients with chest pain and heart trouble. He divided them into two groups. One was prayed for. One was not.

Three people in the prayed-for group required treatment with antibiotics, compared to 17 patients in the group not targeted with prayers. Those who were prayed for also used respirators less and suffered fewer instances of congestive heart failure.

Decrease in crime

In 1993 a 48% decrease in crime in D.C. Was attributed to an experiment of 4000 people meditating at the same time. Certainly many of these people were using this time to for prayer, but you can imagine what the results could have been if all 4000 of them had been praying? “Strength in numbers” can not be disputed here as well as John 16:23 “I tell you the truth; my father will give you whatever you ask in His name.”

This study was a two-month prospective experiment to reduce violent crime in Washington, DC. On the basis of previous research it was hypothesized that the level of violent crime in the District of Columbia would drop significantly with the creation of a large group of participants to increase coherence and reduce stress in the District.

And it worked.

Included in the study was a 27 member review board which consisted of sociologists and criminologists from leading universities, representatives from the police department and government of the District of Columbia, and civic leaders. The approved in advance the research protocol and monitored the progress.

Remarkable life expetancies of AIDS patients

Remarkable life expetancies of AIDS patients

In July 1995, back when AIDS was still a death sentence, psychiatrist Elisabeth Targ and her co-researchers enrolled 20 patients with advanced AIDS in a randomized, double-blind pilot study at the UC San Francisco Medical Center. All patients received standard care, but a few healers offered group prayed for the 10 in the treatment group. The healers lived an average of 1,500 miles away from the patients. None of the patients knew which group they had been randomly assigned to, and thus whether they were being prayed for. During the six-month study, four of the patients died - a typical mortality rate. When the data was unblinded, the researchers learned that the four who had died were in the control group. All 10 who were prayed for were still alive.

Later, in July 1996, Targ began a confirmation study, one with a larger sample and a more exacting protocol. It is widely acknowledged as the most scientifically rigorous attempt ever to discover if prayer can heal.

The research results showed that the subjects who were not prayed for spent 600 percent more days in the hospital. They contracted 300 percent as many AIDS-related illnesses. That's a pretty sensationalistic way of saying those who were prayed for were a lot less sick. Here's the somewhat less-sensational way of framing the results: The control group spent a total of 68 days in the hospital receiving treatment for 35 AIDS-related illnesses.

About United in Prayers

people holding the bible togetherUnited in Prayer is a community of believers, coming together to help put an end to all of the tragedies in the world and to help heal the tragedies that have already happened.

The idea came, after receiving a weather alert text message. At the same moment that message was received, the idea of a service that could text a prayer globally, literally touching hundreds of thousands of people at the same time and allowing them a few moments of simultaneous “community prayer”, was conceived.

This technology is not free, in order for United in Prayer to pay for this service we rely 100% on the donations of our community.

We are extremely honored to be able to share in a few moments of prayer with each of you and look forward to having the largest global community sharing in group prayer.

United in Prayers was initiated by Catherine Horan. She lost her husband 7 years ago in a tragic circumstance.

Here is her story in her own words:

Seven years ago my husband was shoved to the ground, bound and gagged, kidnapped in his own car, and he was killed by shooting. He was an honest and God fearing man, he was gentle and caring. He was active in church functions. He participated in ministries such as caring for the sick and the elderly. He volunteered to provide transportation for those who needed it to attend church. There are not enough words to describe the goodness in my husband, a true gift from God.

After the horrific event of his death, I decided I would try to make a difference in this world like he was trying to do. I searched a long time, praying for God to help me to find a way to give a meaning to his death.
One day, I received a weather alert text message on my phone and God spoke to me and told me that this technology could be use to serve him.

God's given technology and faith have come together to create the means for the necessary changes. I am inviting you to be a part of it.

God has a plan for each of us and it became clear that mine is to unify all the Christians together in prayer to change the world.

It's now in your power to join United in Prayers and to make it the largest Christian movement in the world. Just imagine what will happen if hundreds of thousands of Christian start to pray at the same time about the same event. Together, by prayer, we can call God's power on earth. Together we can influence the stream of events to make our world like God wanted it to be.

We have a responsibility

Christians have a responsibility dictated by Christ to live their lives according to His teachings and example. Even as the 4 corners of the globe continue to become more accessible, we as a civilization are falling apart and we as individuals are losing our sense of community involvement. The early apostles of Christ spent their lives literally walking the earth to teach the lessons of Christ and to reveal to all what His sacrifice meant for our salvation. We no longer need to walk the globe to teach the gospels, because we have at our fingertips, a plethora of technology that could be useful in fulfilling our obligations as Christians. But how much of this technology is really used in the way that Christ would have intended?

God is the solution

Every night the news is filled with stories of drought, poverty, war, crime, and famine. And we Christians sit comfortably in our homes, thinking, how terrible it is for these people, but in the end we just throw our hands up and feel there is nothing we can do. This is our world, the earth was granted to us by God, and He expects that we will take care of each other, not ignore the problems. During the difficult times, God demands that we come to him, rely on him and pray to him. Through prayer we ask and allow God to become the solution to all of the world's problems. Nobody wants their children to grow up to inherit a world of crime, murder, war and immorality.

The Lord Invites Us to Come together in Prayer

While we are aware that individual prayer and private time with our Lord is necessary for our personal relationship with Him, we should also be aware that time and time again, our Lord encourages us to come together in His name.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14

The proof is here

There have been many studies done on the effects of group group prayer on certain populations (cancer patients, aids patients, even crime) The reports have revealed that there is a significant improvement in patients that were prayed for versus the patients that were not. We are also aware of ordinary people, who through the intercession of our Lord, through prayer have been literally healed in front of our eyes.

You are the miracle on Earth, Join us now!
