Natural disaster's across the globe have been the subject of our prayers for months now, and as the summer approaches we find that now we are being given a sample of what these lesser developed nations have been facing.

Thank you to all who have prayed and continued to pray for the victims of the Earthquake in China.

Calling it the deadliest disaster in Chinese recent history, the 7.9 earthquake killed thousands, left tens of thousands homeless and many with no way of getting food and water. As we are well aware China has many problems surrounding it's civil liberty's policy as well as it's complete abandonment of any form of Christianity.

Prayer request for Week May 4, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed for the victims of the Myanmar cyclone.

As if Myanmar is not burdened with enough problems, now literally thousands are dead, and food, water and shelter are scarce. In a country that is strictly controlled by a military regime and keeps it's borders tightly closed from the rest of the world, it is imperative that we pray for the people suffering and that the government will allow foreign aid to it's repressed citizens.

Prayer request for Week of April 27, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed for suffering and victimized children around the world.

In a disgusting and deeply disturbing news report, the clandestine activities of an Austrian father were revealed. This story brings to our attention the victimization of children around the world as well as here in the USA.

Thank you to all who prayed for religious freedom in Russia after a Methodist Church was forced to close by the government.

Last week a Methodist Church in Russia was forced to close by government authorities for “educational activity in a Sunday school”. This is not the first action taken by the Russian government in a crackdown on non orthodox Christian religions.

Prayer request for Week of April 13, 2008

This past week, as the Olympic flame passed through the USA it really brought to our attention the severe human rights violations that China refuses to improve. Jesus has provided us a great guide to live by and has taught us how we must treat and respect each other.

Thank you to all who have joined in praying for the cessation of human-animal hybrid embryonic research.

In what seems like a page from a horror novel, scientists have started experimenting with human-animal hybrid embryos proclaiming this research will save human lives. Now Scotland's prime minister, Gordon Brown has proposed a bill that will allow this type of research to be conducted legally and funded by the government.

Prayer request for Week of March 23, 2008

Thank you to all who prayed with us for the continued message of the resurrection to be spread and that all Christians who have lost their way will find a rebirth of their faith.

We remind ourselves today that Jesus has risen! This Easter message must give us hope throughout the year, courage and strength to face our adversaries just as Jesus faced his and a humbleness knowing that He made the ultimate sacrifice of his life for our eternal salvation. Let us show our gratitude to him by living the life He intended for us and by spreading his message of unconditional love.

A Group Prayer session Delivered me from Cocaine Addiction

Hello, I live in Hendersonville, TN. I am a forty year old Christian man, but I wasn't always. I was baptized at the age of twelve. I had no idea what that meant. At the age of fifteen I began to try alcohol. Within a short while I was smoking pot. I was still attending church as a teenager, but that's all I was doing. By the age of twenty I was doing cocaine on a regular basis, all the while ignoring the tug at my heart. This would continue until the age of thirty-four.

I was married in June of 1991, and in June of 1993, my wife was gone, killed in a car crash on her way home from work. There I was, something I didn't want to be. At the age of thirty-two, I was a widowed father. I didn't know where to turn. After I truly came to know my Savior, at times I would wonder, if only I could have met Him sooner, not realizing that I had.(at the age of twelve) I finally came to see, that I can't change what happened yesterday, but I can do all I can to better tomorrow.

In April of 1994, I was arrested with one-half ounce of cocaine. February 1995 I was put in jail for what I had done.(for one year). For the first month I was there I blamed everyone except myself, until one day a man came to see me. He told me about a man, two thousand years ago, who gave His life, that I might have life. He also told me about an initiative at his church that used group prayer to pray for people in need. After he left, I opened the bible my mom sent to me. I was not looking for anything, I was just opening a book. When I opened it, it was at Psalm 51, I began to read, and before you know it, I was crying, and on my knees, not aware of my surroundings. I received something that day, SALVATION, and with that salvation came deliverance. I did not know it at that time, but later learned that this group prayer session, the man had told me about, was gathered and praying for ME at this exact time!

I was a five hundred dollar a day cocaine user, I was an alcoholic, I was dirty, I was a thief, I was partners with the devil, and God set me free. I am so thankful to God and the amazing people who gathered in group prayer because I am not any of those things anymore, I am not a recovering drug addict, I am not a recovering alcoholic, or anything else, I AM FREE. On April 5th, 1995, in a jail cell, the man that came to see me that day in March, baptized me, and I fully understood what I was doing, I was becoming a follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
